Offended bin…

Jess kindly put together a shot list, we were then able to divide it up between us taking 4 shots each, we quickly doodled out the scenes on post its, mine being 6-11.

Hannah T then created a set using maya, where we could all create our own cameras based on the shots we needed, making sure there was continuity across all of the drawings…

Screen Shot 2014-10-20 at 15.11.32

Again to keep continuity Daryl created a bin using maya as we each had a bin in one of our shots, this way the haircutter wouldn’t change across the drawings…

Screen Shot 2014-10-20 at 15.14.00

By taking a screen shot of our cameras in maya we could bring these into photoshop were we simply drew over them on a separate layer…

After receiving some feedback from our tutor we were told we would need more bins so that there was another aspect to match the look of the CG bin, Daryl had also kindly put together a rough storyboard for the dubstep idea which we were told we would have to work up along with the concept above…

Class effort… everyone took a different coloured crayon and had 1 minute to draw as much as they could, we then rotated around each station, adding what we could to each others drawing… this exercise was rather fun…

  1. Squirrel walks along branch, “sniff sniff” scratching/footsteps heard
  2. Character appears on screen from OSL, sniffing for food
  3. Spots acorn – reaches for it, creaking sound of branch
  4. Branch cracks under weight of character
  5. Squirrel falls – still reaching for acorn – leaves rustling, whistling sound as he falls
  6. Camera pans down to see a severely bent branch, creaking sound
  7. Squirrel on screen, slowly spinning, holding onto branch
  8. As he spins, acorn falls on his head – whistling sound as acorn falls, conk as it hits his head.

A slightly more detailed storyboard is coming together…

The Whiteboard

Here we have planned a rough storyboard along with timing, to make sure we don’t make the same mistake again!!

The models we need to create are a tree, leaves, an acorn and the main character, a squirrel – which we should be able to create from spheres to make sure we don’t run into any triangles!!

1374375_10152002228842113_957027561_n 1467272_10152002229027113_1894244401_n 1509297_10152002229427113_1505249656_n

Taking into consideration the principles that we will be able to include..
